NerdHQbannerNerd HQ’s Indiegogo Campaign Comes to a Close

Last Friday, the Nerd HQ crowdsourcing campaign on Indiegogo ended their run at $336,784– reaching their mini-goal of 1/3 million — with over 16,000 backers contributing to the campaign. Head Nerd, Zachary Levi, made several online appearances throughout the campaign discussing what he hopes to achieve at Nerd HQ this year. One thing is sure, Nerd HQ will proceed even though it did not reach the campaigns $1 million funding goal. It will be hard to top last year, but hopefully some awesome sponsors will step up to help make this year’s event even better.

Heroes BrewFest

Returning for a 2nd year is the Heroes Brew craft beer festival, happening on Saturday, July 26 from 4-7pm (3pm for VIP admission). The event is located within walking distance from the convention center, behind the Hyatt Hotel and SeaPort Village. General admission tickets are on sale for $44 until June 30, and then will be $49. Tickets include unlimited samples from over 40 breweries. Costumes are encouraged to keep the Comic-Con vibe going. Attendees at last year’s event seemed to have a blast (and who wouldn’t with all that delicious craft beer?). Website:

 HopCon Returns

Stone Brewing has HopCon 2.0 in the planning stages, and the event will be returning to their Liberty Station location on Wednesday, July 23 (Preview Night). We will post and tweet more details when we know them.

Returning to Comic-Con this year is the Marked Men party, held aboard the HMS Surprise (the ship used in Master & Commander and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides). Tickets are on sale via Eventbrite
